Day 1

Dubrovnik

Official check-in is from 5pm onwards but you can arrive to the boat earlier, leave your bags onboard and choose from the many activities happening in Dubrovnik that day.

We recommend: (1) Doing the awesome buggy safari - you are taken to Mount Srd to get a bird's eye view of the Old City and Elaphite Isles before driving an off-road buggy around the mountain. Unmissable!

(2)Taking a cable car ride up to Mount Srd for the most incredible view imaginable (note: buggy trip takes you past same cable car station for same view).

(3) Dubrovnik is also the setting for the capital city of Westeros, Kings Landing, in Game of Thrones. If you are a fan, why not take a walking tour of the locations of the most famous scenes in the ultra-popular show and get an overview of the history of Dubrovnik at the same time?

(4)  Take a shuttle boat over to Lokrum Island from the Old City.

Dinner is served onboard at 6.30pm, when you will also be given your welcome speech and be introduced to everybody else on board. The evening is yours to enjoy in the Old City. Overnight on the boat in Dubrovnik (Gruz Port).

Optional excursions: Buggy Safari and/or Game of Thrones+Dubrovnik Walking Tour.

Day 2

Dubrovnik to Korcula

It's goodbye to Dubrovnik and hello to more incredible scenery as we head to Korcula Island, which is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. We are spoilt for choice with swimming spots en route before we dock near the Old City (with the same name as the island). This pocket town is another gem which hosts a street party in the evening at the Deja Vu Bar!

Optional excursion: Wine-tasting

Go Sail Croatia Korcula

Day 3

Korcula to Hvar Island

Hvar is rated as one of the highlights of the trip and it's not hard to see why. Its quaint harbour is a thing of beauty but you only get to truly appreciate it after climbing up to the fort that overlooks everything in the bay.
We arrive after lunch but often we are not able to dock until late afternoon until due to port restrictions. We strongly recommend taking a water taxi over to the city to get there earlier (3 Euros per person payable directly to the taxi).
Hvar's nightlife is also legendary and nothing beats catching the sunset at Hula Hula bar, then taking the organised shuttle boat over to Carpe Diem - the famous "club on an island".

Go Sail Croatia Hvar

Day 4

Hvar Island to Split

Our final, full day starts with a swim stop at one of the many Pakleni Islands near Hvar and continues with a trip over to Brac Island to cruise past the iconic beach featured in almost every promo video about Croatia: Bol's Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach.
In the afternoon we dock back into Split, with enough time to take in some of the inspiring sights of this city, including Diocletian's Palace and Bacvice Beach.

Optional excursion: Split Walking Tour

Day 5

Split to Kravice Waterfalls and Mostar

After breakfast breakfast it is time to say goodbye to your shipmates and crew. Check-out from the boat is by 9am and then it's onto Bosnia!

The Go Bosnia tour vehicle departs from Dubrovnik at 10am but we will also arrange for a transfer from Split at 10am to meet up with that main tour vehicle and rest of the group at Kravice Waterfalls.

The most striking feature of Kravice Waterfalls is not only the sheer breadth and number of cascades, but the opportunity to swim in and jump around the pools – it is literally a natural water-fun park! You can also grab a light lunch here – there are small cafes here serving simple dishes.

We reach Mostar around 4pm, with time to check in to our accommodation and have a quick orientation walk with your tour leader. We then have the evening free to enjoy dinner, the nightlife and be blown away by how this beautiful city looks at night. Overnight Mostar.
Kravica waterfalls and Mostar at night

Day 6

Mostar

After breakfast you have a choice of either exploring the city on your own (your tour leader can recommend the main museums and attractions to visit) or choosing from one of the following excursions:

Mostar Tour (16 Euros): This tour starts at 10am and is 2 hrs long. It includes local, licensed English-speaking guide and entrance to the Old bridge museum, where you can actually get inside the famous bridge.

Bosnian Cooking Class (35 Euros): This class starts at 12.30pm and is 3.5 hrs long. Bosnian cuisine is tasty, filling and fun to make! Create local specialities such as japrak, dolma and 2 kinds of pastry pies (cheese and potato). Then get stuck in and eat your mouth-watering creations! Also includes salad, home-made organic white and red wine, juice and mezze.
See full details on the excursions page.
Overnight Mostar.

Day 7

Mostar to Konjic to Sarajevo

We leave Mostar early this morning to reach Konjic for breakfast at 10am. After breakfast there are several options for adventure in this region:

Rafting on the famous Neretva River (40 Euros): Konjic is famous for Rafting and the Neretva is a breath-taking river to do it on. The rafting lasts about 3.5 hrs and is lower intermediate-level, perfect for both first-timers and those who have rafted before.

Plunge pool hike (FREE): A short hike up to a natural beauty spot that features a plunge pool. Had a dip if you fancy it - the water's so inviting!

Tito's Bunker (7.5 Euros): A Cold-war era bunker that was to be Yugoslavia’s command centre in case of invasion. Everything is frozen in time and it feels like a 60s James Bond film set!
See full details on the excursions page.

After our Konjic adventures, we arrive in Sarajevo around 19.00 p.m, which gives us enough time to check in, grab some dinner and then go with your tour leader to a “secret” Sarajevan bar where live bands play local music next to your table and the drinks are cheap!
Overnight Sarajevo.
Neretva Rafting and Sarajevo at night

Day 8

Sarajevo - FREE DAY

Breakfast is served from 8.30am and then the rest of the day is free to explore Sarajevo City as we wish. It is the tour leader’s day off but he can give us plenty of tips and a map for the day.

Optional excursion: There is also the option of getting a fascinating, in-depth walking tour of this incredible city with a local licensed guide. Leaves at 10am and lasts about 2 hrs (12 Eur per person). See full details on the excursions page.
Overnight Sarajevo.
Sebilj and Mosque in Sarajevo

Day 9

Bjelasnica Mountain

So far, we have travelled from Croatia’s Mediterranean coast, to the rivers and lakes of Herzegovina, and finished in Sarajevo city. Today we head for Bosnia’s mountains!

After breakfast we departure from our Sarajevo accommodation and reach Umoljani village on Bjelasnica mountain at around 11am. From Umoljani we hike to Lukomir, a Bosnian mountain settlement that was untouched during the 90s war due to its inaccessibility by road. Lukomir is truly one of the “frozen in time” experiences that touches visitors to this magical country. The hiking totals about 3 hours with the option of having a BBQ on the way up to Lukomir - 7 EUR per person for BBQ if desired.
Overnight on the mountain.
Bjelasnica and Lukomir

Day 10

Sarajevo Tunnel and Montenegro

Having had breakfast, we depart the mountain in the morning and head for Sarajevo’s most famous attraction – the War Tunnel, which is close to the main airport. Your tour leader will run through how important this tunnel and its museum was to the survival of Sarajevo. During our visit we will get a chance to see footage from the conflict, see the ration packs used by those enduring the siege and pass through the last remaining section of the tunnel that was dug in secret under the airport.

We then depart for Montenegro, stopping for lunch on the way.

Once we cross the Montenegro border we head straight for Zabljak and its zipline – on of the longest in Europe at 300 metres! After the zipline (included) there it’s time to check into our accommodation in Durmitor National Park and settle in for the night.

Overnight Zabljak.
Sarajevo Tunnel and Zabljak Zipline

Day 11

Montenegro

This morning is dedicated to exploring the national park and we highly recommend taking one of the biking routes around the lakes. There are 2 routes you can take: Easy (around 1 hr) and Medium (around 1.5 to 2 hrs). Bike rental included!
We leave Zabljak around midday and have a break for lunch near Niksic city. We then turn towards Montenegro’s coastline, stopping off at Njegusi village to sample some local cheese, prosciutto and wine.

We finally reach Kotor at around 6pm. Time for farewells and last-minute pics with the crew that we have shared so many adventures with. There are many options for the next part of your trip, including a night or 2 in Kotor, moving onto Budva or Albania, or even returning to Croatia.

Q: What time does the boat depart from Dubrovnik on day 1 (Tuesday)?
A: Official check-in is from 5pm (noon), but the boat remains in Dubrovnik overnight so you can arrive earlier or later on that day. Access to your cabin will be from 5pm onwards and you have dinner included onboard on day 1 at 6.30pm! If you arrive early, you can leave your bag onboard and explore Dubrovnik or do one of the optional excursions, such as buggy safari or Game of Thrones+Dubrovnik Tour.
Q: What time does the sail finish in Split?
A: The boat docks into Split on Friday afternoon and then overnights in Split. Breakfast is then from 7.30am to 8.30am on the Saturday and check-out must then be completed by 9am. You then take a local bus transfer at 9.30am, with tickets provided by us, to Capljina (just over the Bosnian border). Your Go Bosnia tour guide will be waiting for you there with the tour vehicle.
Q: What are the sleeping arrangements in the boat cabins?
A: Most of our cabins can be suited to couples who would prefer a double, or twin beds (2 separate beds) for friends who don't wish to share a bed. Please let us know your preference in advance - we can't always match your preference but we try to as best we can according to the configuration of travellers.
Q: What about triple cabins, for 3 friends in one cabin?
A: Three friends can share one cabin - 1 person in a separate bed and 2 in a double bed. There is a 10% discount on each passenger's space for triple-sharing.
Q: What is the arrangement for solo travellers on the boat?
A: Solo travellers would have to share a cabin with another solo traveller or third person from another group. We try to match people up according to gender, but this is not always possible due to passenger configurations. There is always the option of a single supplement as well (see below).
Q: If I don't want to share my cabin, can I pay a single supplement?
A: Yes, you can pay a single supplement. Our single supplement is 50% extra. You must book your single cabin in advance.
Q: What are the bathroom arrangements on the boat?
A: Every cabin has its own ensuite bathroom as standard!
Q: What is the difference between above deck and below deck cabins?
A: Above deck is on the main deck and lower deck is in the hull of the boat. There are advantages and disadvantages to both - lower deck cabins are often cooler and more peaceful at night as you do not have other passengers walking past your cabin as much as the above deck cabins. Above deck cabins are brighter with more natural ventilation and most open out onto the sea.
Q: What food is included on the sail?
A: You will have 2 meals everyday which consists of a continental breakfast (bread, spreads, with varieties of fruit, yoghurt, eggs, sausages etc throughout the week), and 3-course lunch (soup to start, followed by meat/fish/pasta/rice dish and a dessert). The only exception to this is that DINNER is included on the check-in day (Tuesday).
Q: What if I am vegetarian or have other special dietary requirements, how can you help me?
A: Please tell us about your special dietary requirements before your cruise starts and our onboard chef will do their best to cater for them.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drink on board?
A: You can't bring your own food on board, apart from for special dietary requirements. This also applied to drink: drinks are not allowed to be brought on board (including water) as the boat runs its own bar (on a tab system). Unlimited drinking water is provided for FREE.
Q:Can I pay for my bar tab by credit card?
A: Our boats do not have card facilities onboard. All payments for your bar tab can be made only by cash locally on your last day before you check out of the boat.
Q:How many people will be on my boat?
A: Between 25 to 38 passengers, with 3 or 4 crew members.
Q:What nationalities and ages are on board the boat?
A: Most of our guests are aged between 18 and 39, with the majority falling in the twenties and early thirties bracket. They are from English-speaking countries (UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ, South Africa, Canada, USA), EU countries (mostly Western Europe) and others such as Israel and Brazil.
Q:What if I miss, or am going to be late for the boat's departure from Dubrovnik?
A: This is unlikely to happen as the boat overnights on the first night in Dubrovnik. However, if something unforeseen happens, please let us know as soon as you can and we will advise you on where to catch up with the boat in Korcula.
Q:How much spending money should I bring?
A: Personal spending money amounts obviously vary from person to person but as a general rule around Euro 25 to Euro 30 per day can cover additional meals and optional entrances.
Q: Do I have to have any insurance?
A: We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go.
Q: Are there any power sockets on board?
A: Our boats have power sockets in the cabins and in the salon area. They are European 2-pin sockets so don't forget your adaptors if you need them!
Q: How do I get to Dubrovnik?
A: We have a whole page on our website dedicated to getting to Croatia and Dubrovnik. Please click on it here.
Q: Are there towels provided on board?
A: Some bathroom towels are provided but you should definitely bring your own beach towels.
Q: What time does the Go Bosnia part of the tour depart from Split?
A: Check out from your boat is 9am on the Saturday. The local bus transfer (tickets included) for Capljina, near the Bosnian border, then departs at 9.30am.
Q: Is the Bosnia tour fully led all the way through?
A: Yes, you will have a Bosnian/English-speaking tour leader who meets you in Capljina and leads you through Bosnia and Herzegovina. He will have a day off on the Tuesday, but you can book a separate specialist tour guide for a Sarajevo walking tour for that day. By law, he can orientate you around every destination, but is not allowed to give you an in-depth guided walk around Mostar either, but there is also the option of a walking tour of the old city there.
Q: I am a solo traveller or in a couple - if I don't want to share a dorm, can I pay a double/single supplement?
A: Yes, you can pay a double or single supplement - please email us for prices. You must also book your single cabin and rooms in advance.
Q: What food is included on the Bosnia tour?
A: Breakfasts are included every morning.
Q: What if I am vegetarian or have other special dietary requirements, how can you help me?
A: You should tell us about your special dietary requirements before your tour starts and we can ensure that the breakfasts are more suited to your requirements.
Q:Can I leave the tour in Sarajevo?
A: Yes, you can. The price would then be £50 less.
Q: Are there towels provided?
A: You will be provided with bathroom towels at the accommodation. However, you should definitely bring your own beach towel for swim stops at places such as Kravica Waterfalls.
